| 02 | What the site is | The site is a short reading list: 12 notes, each giving a headline, a publisher, the date the publisher gave and two sentences in our own words, with a link back to the publisher. It is not a newsroom, nothing on it is original reporting, and it is not an official source for any transit agency, airline or park authority. |
| 03 | Information only, no advice | The notes are for general interest. They are not travel, legal, financial or medical advice and they are not an offer of any pass, ticket, subsidy or service. Fares, rules, timetables, route plans and park conditions change, and a summary written on one day may be out of date on the next. Before you rely on anything, check with the transit operator, airline or park authority concerned. Most of the stories concern the United States, Canada and Europe and say nothing about programmes in Japan. |
| 04 | Other people's stories | The stories, headlines, photographs and trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their publishers and owners. We use a publisher's name only to say where a story came from and we claim no connection with it. We do not copy articles or use their photographs. A note links to the publisher's home page, not always to the exact story, because we did not keep every address. |
| 05 | Links to other sites | A link takes you to a site we do not run and cannot control. We do not endorse what you find there, we are not responsible for its content, its availability or the way it treats your data, and a link may stop working or point somewhere new without our knowing. |
| 06 | Our own material | The summaries, the layout and the text of the pages are ours. You may quote a note briefly if you name Urban Orchid Crest and link back to the page. Please do not copy the whole list, republish it, or run automated tools that harvest it in bulk. |
| 07 | Using the site properly | Do not try to break, overload or probe the site, and do not use the contact form to send spam, advertising, threats or unlawful material. We may ignore messages that do this. |
| 08 | Messages to us | The contact form opens your own email program; sending the message is your decision and happens in your email program. We read the messages we receive but we do not promise a reply or a reply time. How we handle what you send is explained on the privacy page. |
| 09 | Corrections and removal | If a summary is wrong, or you hold rights in a story and want a note changed or taken down, write to editorial@urbanorchidcrest.com with the address of the note and the detail in question. We will edit or remove the note once we have read your message. We would rather remove a note than argue about it. |
| 10 | Nothing is sold | The site sells no goods or services, takes no payments, shows no advertising and uses no affiliate links, so there is nothing to buy and no fee to pay. For that reason it carries no commercial-transaction notice under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions. |
| 11 | No warranty and limits on liability | We try to summarise stories fairly, but we give no guarantee that a note is complete, correct or current, or that the site will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from relying on the notes or from a link to another site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, for example for intentional or grossly negligent acts, or the rights you have as a consumer under Japanese law. |
| 12 | Governing law and courts | These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If a dispute about the site cannot be settled by talking, the Saga District Court is the court of first instance with jurisdiction, to the extent the law permits. |
| 13 | Changes | We may change these terms when the site changes. The revision date at the top shows when. The text on this page is the version in force, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. |
